The career of one of country music's most successful early stars was derailed after he was convicted of murdering his wife. Spade Cooley was known as the self-proclaimed King of Western Swing in the '50s. His band was one of the most popular live acts in the country during that era. The acclaimed fiddler scored hits including "Shame on You," hosted an enormously popular TV show and also appeared in a number of Western movies.

We see a lot of lipsticks hit our desks. In fact, it would be embarrassing to admit how many we play with on any given day. (Our hands pretty much have permanent red swatches tattooed on them.) A surveillance camera caught the horrifying moment a senior was killed by tumbling masonry on the stoop of her New York brownstone after stepping outside to sweep the snow.
