Michael Jackson's controversial Neverland theme park has been resurrected for biopic

Michael Jackson’s private amusement park, Neverland on his Santa Barbara ranch, became ‘deserted’ after his death. However, it’s now been given a new lease of life by a film company making a movie about the King of Pop.

The music icon lived at the Santa Barbra ranch with the amusement park from 1988 to 2005. However, two years prior, a search warrant was executed at the ranch in connection with the People v. Jackson trial.

Jackson was acquitted of all charges, however, he felt the ranch no longer felt like home, and would no longer live there.

In 2020, 11 years after his death, billionaire businessman Ron Burkle, bought the Peter Pan-inspired amusement park for $22 million, which was almost four times less than what it was listed for.

Now, it’s been fully restored and looks full of life with help from the film company behind the new Jackson film, titled Michael.

Ariel picture and videos show a working Ferris wheel along with white and red tents. The classic rides are back, including the famous red train, along with a hot air balloon ride.

Actors and film crews have been seen around the set, so it looks like we’ll be able to see it in action when the new film drops in 2025.

The movie about Jackson’s life will feature the star’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson in the main role as his uncle, Michael.

Fans get ’emotional’ over the restored theme park

As the new images circulate X, formerly known as Twitter, fans can’t help but get ’emotional’ and ‘nostalgic’.

“Neverland fully restored?? LET ME PROCESS,” exclaimed one user.

Another penned: “NO BECAUSE THE MORE I THINK OF THIS THE MORE EMOTIONAL I GET AND IM. NEVER. EMOTIONAL. ITS SO SWEET.”

“YES JUST SEEING THE GATES OF NEVERLAND IS ENOUGH TO MAKE ME EMOTIONAL I CANT WAITT,” exclaimed a third.

Unfortunately, the park isn’t open to the public, but we’re sure we’ll be getting all the views in the new blockbuster.
