Meghan Markle would have been 'educated' by Princess Diana, royal butler says
Former royal butler, Paul Burrell has opened up on how Princess Diana would have ’embraced Meghan Markle’ if she was still alive today.
Burrell was a butler for the royal family and worked as a butler to Princess Diana until her death in 1997. Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped down from their senior roles two years ago, they haven’t had the best relationship with the rest of the family. However, Paul is now revealing how he thinks the Duchess of Sussex’s relationship would have been with her mother-in-law today.

Diana ‘would have taken Meghan under her wing’ says royal butler
Speaking to The Mirror, Paul revealed that Princess Diana would have taken her daughter-in-law “under her wing and educated her” when she first started dating Prince Harry. He also claims that her wisdom may have stopped the couple from breaking away from the family and moving to America.
“I think Diana would have embraced Meghan I think she would have tried to understand her,” he revealed. He explained how the former Princess of Wales “loved America and Americans” and understood it was a “different culture”.
The 65-year-old thinks that the Duke of Sussex would have thought his mother “would have loved” Meghan, to which, he agrees.
“She would have loved Meghan. She would have embraced her. She wouldn’t have agreed with everything that’s happened since but in the initial days she would have encouraged her, educated her, and embraced her,” he told the publication.
The former butler also said Harry would have “instantly felt the similarities” between the Hollywood actress and his beloved mother.

Meghan Markle ‘found solace’ in Princess Diana’s friend
Although Meghan unfortunately did not get to meet her mother-in-law, however, she previously revealed she opened up to one of Diana’s friends during her mental health struggles.
During her and Harry’s famous interview with Oprah Winfrey, the 42-year-old said she confided in one of her mother-in-law’s best friends for help.
“One of the people I reached out to was one of my husband’s mom’s best friends, one of Diana’s best friends,” she told Oprah.
“Because it’s, like, who else could understand what it’s actually like on the inside?” she added.
Although the friend was not named, many suspected it may have been Julia Samuels, who is godmother to Prince William‘s son, Prince George.
